Helping older adults age in place in Lewes, Milton, Rehoboth Beach, and Dewey Beach Delaware.

At our core, we embrace the philosophy of 'aging in place', supporting our elderly neighbors to live independently in their cherished homes for as long as possible. While transportation and home services are essential aspects of our mission, we go beyond just providing practical help with other services. We are a nexus of relationships, fostering connections that enrich lives and create a sense of belonging.

The Founders Fund for the Future honors the legacy of Jackie Finer, whose vision and determination shaped Village Volunteers into the organization it is today. Jackie was a firm believer in the concept of aging in place, and she dedicated her life to paving the way for seniors across Sussex County to access the transportation, resources, and support they need to keep living at home. She was an outstanding leader and a tireless advocate for older adults.

The Founders Fund for the Future is a permanent endowment created to help ensure that the Village remains strong, sustainable, and available to serve older adults for many years to come. Gifts to this fund are invested in the long-term future of the organization, helping to preserve and expand the programs and services that support aging in place in our community.

A contribution in Jackie’s memory is more than a donation — it is a way to continue her work and carry her vision forward. Your support helps ensure that older adults in our community can remain independent, connected, and safe in the homes they love, today and for generations to come.
